3 Small Ways to Change Your Life

Affirmation: When I make healthy choices, I can change my life for the better!

I’m a big believer in affirmations. I do them first thing each morning. They get me focused and grounded, setting a clear intention for the day.

As an Intuitive Life Coach, I’m asked a lot of questions about how people can change their lives to feel healthier in their mind, body, or spirit.

Over the years, I’ve come up with various techniques to help people get out of their “ruts” and into a more positive frame of mind. Below are a few small techniques that can help change your life, infusing it with more positive energy.

1. Exercise

I can’t emphasize enough how much exercise can improve your mood and your body.

Exercise…

  • Makes you feel better about yourself
  • Is a great stress reliever
  • Gives you downtime that is dedicated just for you
  • Creates positive thinking
  • Benefits your heart and waistline

You certainly don’t have to become a fitness competitor — just get your body moving!

2. Challenge Yourself

One of the biggest complaints I hear from clients is that they are feeling “stuck” in their lives. The only way to become “unstuck” is to push yourself out of your comfort zone! To this end, I encourage people to try new things that will be challenging for them.

You might set up a 30-day challenge for yourself in one aspect of your life. For example, if you want to find a life partner, you can:

  • Join an online dating site
  • Recruit your friends to throw a party and bring some single men
  • Join a volunteer group that you are passionate about
  • Take a new class
  • Or do something else!

Commit to doing something each day for 30 days to improve your chances of meeting someone. Recruit an “accountability” partner who you can report your progress to each day for encouragement and support.

3. Change Up Your Daily Routine

Most of us are creatures of habit. We do the same thing in the same way day in and day out. Instead, commit to doing something a bit different with your daily routine.

For example, if you eat chicken and pasta every Monday night, try having fish with a sweet potato instead. When going to work, drive on different streets to get there, go out for a walk with your friends after work instead of meeting them for happy hour. Create small, positive changes on a daily basis that will help shake up your stagnant energy!

Start Enjoying Your Life Again

The more positive and healthy choices you can incorporate into your life, the faster you will start to see results. Remember, having a positive attitude will also help you climb out of your rut and start enjoying your life again!
